Understand your plan

Understand what your money plan is telling you.

Penny can help you make sense of the plan you’ve already built in PennyGo — from what needs funding next, to your biggest planned expenses, to how a bill compared with what you expected. She can also explain how PennyGo works when something isn’t clear.

What are my biggest planned expenses over a year?

How did my last electricity bill compare with what I expected?

How much do I have coming up in the next 30 days?

Start with a conversation

Set up a planned expense by talking it through.

Tell Penny what you already know. She identifies the details you’ve provided, asks only for what’s missing and checks whether a similar Spend already exists.

TRY SAYING

“Add my car insurance — it’s $1,860 a year.”

Penny checks what else is needed before preparing anything.

A Spend in PennyGo is a planned expense in your money plan — such as a bill, subscription, insurance premium, regular household cost or another expected expense.

PennyGo is designed mainly to plan expected expenses, rather than track every coffee, takeaway or shop purchase after it happens.

Once the details are ready, Penny opens the normal Spend & Save form pre-filled. You review the draft and press Save yourself. Penny never edits an existing Spend.

From bill to plan

Turn a bill into a planned expense.

Upload a bill and Penny can read useful details — such as the provider, amount and timing — then prepare a draft Spend for you to review. It’s not just document reading; the useful details are shaped for your money plan.

  1. 1

    Upload the bill

Give Penny the bill you want to turn into a planned expense.

  2. 2

    Penny prepares the details

Useful information becomes a draft for the normal Spend form.

  3. 3

    You review and save

Check every detail and make the final decision before anything joins your plan.

Bill Watch · PennyGo Plus

Keep expected bills closer to what arrives.

Connect an Outlook or Microsoft 365 mailbox and choose the bills Penny should watch. Penny can also notice a likely regular bill that appears to be missing from your plan.

Notice likely bills

Penny looks for messages that appear to contain regular bills, including one that may be missing from your plan.

Compare the useful details

Recognised provider, amount and payment timing can be compared with what your plan expects.

Review what really happened

When something differs, Penny can prompt you to review it and record the final amount when appropriate.

What’s an Actual? An Actual is the final amount for one bill occurrence when it differs from what you expected. It does not change the usual planned amount.

Clear control

Penny prepares, explains and suggests. You stay in control.

Nothing is silently created, edited or deleted. Ask Penny prepares new Spend drafts for your review; Bill Watch never changes a Spend or records an Actual automatically.

Read-only mailbox access

Bill Watch can read the information needed to recognise likely bills. It cannot send, change or delete your emails.
